A Unit of the American Rescue Dog Association
Meet Our Team : David Morris
In spite of being a "cat person", David has been working with the MDRD since April of 2005 when he answered a request on GuideStar for the MDRD looking for someone to update, and maintain, their web site. David has taken to the German Shepherd Dogs after spending the weekend with them in Chicago in September of 2005, and is even trying to convince his wife that we "need" one.
His interests are varied and include cooking, travel, research and photography.
An accomplished photographer, David has been published in the Air Force Times, the San Antonio Express-News, the Whitefish Bay Herald and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel for various news and special interest photos. He has seen the best and worst that human nature has to offer, while an Air Force photographer.
David is a serious volunteer and in the past year has put in nearly 400 hours for the MDRD and more than 1,100 hours between 3 other organizations that he works with, including the local Photography Club, and a music charity.
After a year of working for the MDRD, in April of 2006, he received word that he has been voted as an Honorary Member of the Mason-Dixon Rescue Dog Association, something that he is very proud of. The time that he has spent working with the MDRD has been very rewarding, and he feels that, in some small way, he has helped them fulfill their mission "so that others may live".
David works for the MDRD from his home in Whitefish Bay, WI on a Compaq desktop PC. The web site is built using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX4 and Adobe Photoshop CS2.
